Valerie Dumaine has been active in the Montreal fashion scene for over ten year. Between 1997 and 2002, she has worked as an illustrator, pattern maker and designer for various companies, in various countries. In 1998 Valerie interned with Gaile Mcconaghie in London, UK and in 2002 she moved to Berlin and embedded herself in the German fashion scene. Upon returning to Montreal, she decided to work on her own line and in Spring 2004 Valerie Dumaine was born!
Valerie Dumaine's line projects an image of confidence, with clean elegant lines, embellished by a careful finished touch. Inspired by the past, the designer is a master when it comes to mix and match style, creating refined and bold garments. ShopValerieDumaine.com was launched early 2008. All orders on ShopValerieDumaine.com are processed by FashionCan.com. How to Measure Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the bust. Keep tape comfortably loose. Waist: Measure around the natural waist line – generally the smallest part of your waist. Your natural waist line is located where the body creases when bending to the side. Hip: Keep feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hip. Inseam: Measure from crotch to hem line. All garments are given a length measurement. The measurement is taken from center back to hem on tops / jackets / coats / dresses, and top of waist band to hem (on skirts). When you find an item that you like, click the "add to cart" button. Continue shopping until you are ready to complete the purchase. Click on the "X item in cart" button (top of page). Make sure the items sizes and quantity are correct. If there is a mistake, you can remove or edit in the cart page. Once the order is confirmed, follow the instructions to move through the shopping cart.
Confirmation Once you enter in your address and credit card information and press "submit" an email confirmation will be sent to you. This will have your order number, your complete order, and your shipping address. Please print this document and save it for your records. If there are any mistakes on the receipt, please email us right away. Method of Payments ShopValerieDumaine.com accepts all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We also accept INTERAC Online as a payment method for Canadian customers. For customers who do not have credit cards, ShopValerieDumaine.com also accepts payments via PayPal and Money Orders. Paying with PayPal can be done through the shopping cart. If you would like to pay using a money order, please email us with the items you want to purchase (style name, size and colour), your address (for tax purposes) and your preferred shipping method. Taxes If you are ordering from within Ontario, you will be charged GST & PST. If you are ordering from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Newfoundland you will be charged HST. If you are ordering from any other Canadian province you will be charged GST only. NO TAX WILL BE ADDED TO AMERICAN ORDERS. Pricing All prices quoted in US Dollars are approximate and depend on the USD/CND exchange rate at the time. All articles will be sold at the quoted Canadian price. Prices listed on the page and in the shopping cart do not include shipping, handling or taxes. When you check out, select the shipping options which best suites you. Taxes will be added according to your location. The final price (including applicable taxes, shipping and exchange rate) will be displayed prior to entering your credit card number and will also be sent to you in the confirmation receipt/email. Stock Availability ShopValerieDumaine.com will keep its stock listing up to date. If however stock availability on your order has changed, we will email you with a notification and a time frame on a restocking date. Warranty ShopValerieDumaine.com sells clothing/accessories/records 'as is' from the designer. Detailed descriptions (ie material and measurements) are posted on the page for all items. International Orders Due to credit card fraud, ShopValerieDumaine.com does not process international credit card orders. Products shipped within Canada are shipped via Canada Post. Shipping options are as follows:
1. Standard Shipping ($7 CAN) - This is the most economical method of shipping with an expected arrival of 5-10 business days from date the product is shipped. 2. Express Shipping ($12 CAN) - This method will have your order to your door in approximately 1-3 business days from day product is shipped. Products shipped to the United States are shipped via Canada Post. Shipping options are as follows: 1. US Air ($12 CAD) Shipped via Canada Post Air and will arrive 5-14 business days from when order is shipped. 2. Express Shipping ($17 US) - This method will have your order to your door in approximately 3-7 business days from day product is shipped. International orders are shipped via Canada Post International Air with an expected arrival approximately 7-21 days from date of shipment. The cost of an International order is $35 CAN. We ship Monday to Friday. All orders will ship one-two business days after they are received. Shipping times are based on a base case scenario. RETURNS / EXCHANGES
We hope that we have given you sufficient information regarding our products. ShopValerieDumaine.com regrets that returns can only be processed under the following conditions:
1) You received the wrong order - you have not received the item(s) listed in your confirmation email. 2) Wrong size - must be returned via prepaid shipping. (Applicable only to regular priced items.) 3) You are not 100% satisfied with the product - must be returned via prepaid shipping. (Applicable only to regular priced items.) If any one of the above instances should occur, email us within 5 days of receiving your order. Returned merchandise must arrive back at ShopValerieDumaine.com/FashionCan.com no more than 20 days from the time you placed your order. All returns must be in 100% new condition, not worn, nor washed and all tags in place. Please ensure returned clothing is packaged safely, as we will not accept damaged returns.
